Caitlin Hayes

Accompanist/Sectional Leader

Originally from Victoria, Caitlin has a Bachelor of Music in classical piano from UVic, and has worked as a pianist, music director, actor and singer all over Canada, from Vancouver to Halifax to Toronto to Dawson City, Yukon, as well as on a cruise ship in the Bahamas.  For the past several years she was based in Toronto, where she was the associate conductor and accompanist of the La Jeunesse Senior Girls Choir (Cobourg, Ontario) and also worked as a freelance accompanist and vocal coach.

Although she is adept in many musical genres, Caitlin’s biggest passion is musical theatre.  She has a performance diploma from the Canadian College of Performing Arts (Victoria, BC) and later was on faculty there as music assistant and accompanist.  She also has extensive experience as a musical director: favourite credits include “Sweeney Todd” (Northumberland Players), “Menopositive:The Musical” (Stirling Festival Theatre), “Ain’t We Got Fun” (Moose Jaw Cultural Centre), “Hair” (NP), and “Annie” (Chemainus Theatre Festival).  She also recently toured all over B.C. as an actor and pianist in the Barkerville-based musical “The Motherlode”, for B.C.’s 150th birthday. She has recently moved back to Vancouver to pursue new musical adventures, and is excited to be joining the Burstin’ With Broadway team.
